  • MAHEC Mary C. Nesbitt Biltmore Campus 121 Hendersonville Road Asheville, NC, 28803 United States (map)

This program will review the most common pediatric health
emergencies seen in the school setting and basic physical
assessment related to those health emergencies. This course
is to help school nurses be aware of important elements to
consider during a health emergency and be able to assess
and triage ill children in the school setting. We will review
basic physical assessment of the school age child in relation
to body systems and practice exam skills such as otoscopy,
cranial nurse exams, and teen health history taking.
